I bought this on Amazon as a gift for my husband because I noticed he was admiring it at Sur la Table. I thought, yippee, now maybe he will cook! While that didn't happen, the kids and I have actually, for the first time, made pizza for the family, and they have a blast with that! Such a nice looking stone can be used for other things, e.g, a cheese board. Two issues with the stone: 1) While the top is smooth, remember the bottom is not, so use something underneath it so you will not scratch any counters or table (I store with it a piece of cardboard to prevent this); and 2) my stone has gotten, after only a few uses, some water-type marks that I cannot remove (hence the 1-star ding).
The stone is a more olive green than in the internet picture, at least on my computer. If you have a chance to see this in a store before buying online, do so, if exact color match is important.

We have had this for about 6 months. Makes fantastic crispy pizza. The clean up is the best part with this. It's one piece and everything washes off easily (event the super melted cheese). When you cut pizza on it using a pizza cutter it doesn't hurt the finish at all. We love this thing.
We got an All-Clad about the same time (generous present) and like it as well. The Emile Henry wins, however, because (a) easier clean up (b) light weight and (c) no scratches when you use a pizza slicer. On the all-clad you leave a mark on the soapstone every time you cut.
If we ever get another stone it will be this one. Great product!

Great product. Cooks pizza perfectly and requires very little effort to clean even when cheese burns onto it. Really like the handles. Would definitely buy again.
